Our Daddy is Home!

After being gone for 16 days Mark is home. Its is so Nice to have him home. He wasn't suppose to be home until Friday at 10. but much to my surprise he came home Thursday night for a few hours. Then had to go back for the night, When he left it was snowing alot! Friday morning when I got up there was at least 5 inches of snow. So I got the kids up for school and headed out side to clear the Driveway and walks to the kids that I watch could make it to the front door and I could take the kids to school. After about 15 min of moving heavy snow, I was very happy to see Mark come around the Corner. He finished the Drive way and took the Kids to school. Then he broke out the 4 wheeler and went off to clear the neighborhood. It is really nice to have him home!

Some of the other happenings of our week were.. We took pictures on Sunday before Church that I thought turned out very nice. Jordan spent the week helping out a neighbor who's husband was also out of Town. She has three kids under the age of 7 and just found out she is pregnant. Jordan had a good time and it kept her and Tanner from Fighting! Jordan as Had New Beginnings this week. She is Loving being in Young Women's and I hope that she keeps loving it and loves doing personal progress. I really enjoyed Young Women's and the experiences I had, I really Hope that she will too!

A week in Review

With Mark being away here are some things that have kept us busy..
Monday~ I ran a 5k for the Lehi Literacy Center~ it was the Green Eggs and Ham 5k. I finished in 35.52 and it was super cold. It was 19 degrees at the start of the race. But It was fun in the end. The kids were out of school today for Presidents day. So while I ran in the cold they played inside the legacy center. They had bounce houses, face painting and balloon animals. All in all it was a good Day.

Tuesday~ Back to school, After school Jordan had hunters Safety this was her last class before her Test. She is enjoying it and I think she will do just fine on the test.

Wednesday~ Tanner and Jordan both had to visit the Orthodontist today, Tanner just for a check to see what his teeth are doing and Jordan had to have her wires changed. She wanted her braces so bad~ but now she is rethinking that a little. Jordan had her hunters safety test and PASSED! now she can go hunting! As soon as she was done with her test she wanted to go to Young Womens so we made a mad dash across town so she wouldn't be too late. Tanner and I decided we would hang out and watch the Skits the YW/YM were doing. They were pretty fun and very creative.

Thursday~ Finally a day with no big plans~ When just got homework done and Went to Dinner at Purple Turtle { Jordan had a Free Shake coupon for wearing her Othor. shirt to the orothodontist} So we couldn't just go for A shake we had to have dinner! After we got home we got on the computer to Skype with Mark and decided to go pay him a visit! It is fun to be able to go out and visit since he is so close.

Friday~ Jordan had a birthday party to go to so I took Tanner and his Friend Ethan to the Swimming pool and then let them have a sleep over. Jordans party was a sleepover but she doesn't like to sleepover so at 11pm I made her come home so I could go to bed.

Saturday~ Bowling day! Today the kids bowled in the City Tournament and they both did very well. Tanner got a 86 86 & 95. which is really good since his average is only 54. Jordan got a 91 84 86 and her average is a 62. Very proud of them!

And now its Sunday we just have to make it thru this week and then Mark will be home!

Mark is Away..

Well Mark Left this week for Training with the Army. He will be gone from Feb. 16-March 2. He has only been gone a few Days and Tanner has already called him and Started crying because he misses his Dad. Which in turn makes me sad, and then I cry. Lets just say its going to be a long couple of weeks. There is a positive part, Since he is only out at Camp Williams which is about 20 min away. We can go out and see him , we can call him and also Skype with him. So tonight after church we are going to go see him and we can't wait! We are proud of our Dad for working so hard for us and Being our Hero!

Jordan is taking Hunters Safety and Yesterday she Had her Shooting Test! She PASSED by the skin of her teeth. It was a little nerve racking, since her Dad was away at with the Army this weekend and she has only shot her gun one other time. She did get to take it with 2 friends. {Lexi and Laynie} Here are some of the Pics!

I asked Mark this Morning, What we had done this week so I could put it into my blog. His reply was {You have a Blog}. I said Yes and he then said well put in it we were here! So I guess this last week we were here! Not a whole lot going on. Mark has been busy at work and The kids have been good this week. Oh Jordan started Hunters Safety so she can put in for a Hunting permit this Year. She is pretty excited~ we will see if she is still excited after 7 days of a 3 hour class! Well that's about all for us this week!

Very Proud!..or Maybe not!

This week we had Parent Teacher Conference. Jordan is doing wonderful in School~ she has always been a little behind in her reading, But I think she finally got it! Her scores were very High and she is reading at almost a 8th grade level!! Her grades all are very good and she loves school! She hates to miss and if she is sick she will cry because I make her stay home. There are a few Times I have gone to the school and get her work so she would not get behind. I hope she keep up loving school as she gets older~ we will see!
Now Tanner on the other hand.. Maybe not the proudest Mom moment at his Parent Teacher! He isn't getting the best of grades and not really applying him self. His Teacher is super sweet and tired to say it as nice as she could, But I am not dumb I could tell she was a little frustrated with him. I think he will be doing better once Dad found out and he found out that he couldn't take his football to school until we got a better report. She did say that when he wants to do the work he does really well and he is a Smart kid. Just playing with friends and Football sound like a better time to him, And not School work! Lets hope this will change soon~ or else its going to be a long 9years of School for him!
The Kids also had bowling again this Saturday and Tanner got a 106 thats 50 pins above his average!
Jordan had her first Young Womens basketball game and the killed the other team the score was 56-18!
Well I guess it's good I had more PROUD moments then not proud!

Another Week

Wow this week would never end and the Weekend went way to fast! {that's how it always goes}
So Jordan & Tanner are on a bowling league that is every Saturday morning from 10-12 They have so much fun and are getting pretty good at bowling. Tanner gets pretty tired by the 3rd game, but he is getting better. Jordan just got her own ball, the girl that she bowls with got a new ball for Christmas and gave Jordan her old one. So now she has to get used to using a nice ball and not a house ball that kids just beat up ;) This week they had to Pre-bowl which means they bowl before Saturday and there scores count like they were there. Since I was running a race and Jordan had been asked to babysit for the neighbor. So this last Saturday I ran a 5K, I have been trying to do 1 a month since last June. I have done pretty good. Missed a few months but trying to get back on track. So I found a race for January and asked anyone to join me. I was about to bail on the race when one of the girls I had asked to join me, told me she was all signed up and ready to run. Now I had to run~Well the weather on friday was like 50 degrees and so nice. But Saturday Morning it was not so nice~ it was raining and while we were waiting for them to start the race it started to hail. Lucky for me and the other runners it stopped hailing. But the rain continued... So off we went to run 3.2 miles in the rain. I kept my coat on because it was pretty cold and wet, Well that was a mistake and I was so hot. It made my time to the finish not the best~ but HEY I finished!

We made it threw another week! Today we are getting ready to go bid farewell to Our Niece/cousin Michelle Tidwell. She is getting ready to Leave for 18months on a mission to Germany. We are so proud of her for her choice to serve Our Heavenly Father and Teach the People of Germany. Mark and I would like to plan a Trip to Germany while she is there and Visit her. We will see if we can pull it off. Mark has always wanted to Visit Germany and I am game to go on a Vacation! Good Luck Michelle~ we know you will do great!

This week we have had some pretty nice weather is kinda weird. It should be snowing, Not 50degrees. But I think that its is all going to change. Snow is on its way, Just in time for the kids to have a day off of school. Hopefully there will be enough snow for them to enjoy it. and not just be cold. well off to get everyone ready for Church!

A New Year-

I hope this Year I will be better at Blogging.. I really want to turn this into a book and make it part of our family History. With this year our church being at 2:00~ Yuck! I have lots of Sunday morning time. So I am going to blog about the week at least every Sunday.
This Week the kids were back in School. JORDAN is in 6th Grade and in the Student Council. She also just turned 12 {WOW that came Fast} She gets to enjoy Young Womens now and all the things that go with it. They are Playing Basketball right now, she is enjoying learning new things. She also is still taking piano lessons and has started babysitting for people!
TANNER is in the 2nd grade and Loves football~ and Every thing boy. He love the STEELERS and is hoping they play in the Super Bowl. He is full of energy and is doing well in school. but if he had his choice he would rather skip school.

For Christmas Tanner got a Pump Action BB gun and For Jordan's birthday she got a .22 so while they were out of school we took they out to shoot them. I took some pictures I will have to add later.
I do love having the kids out of school and not having to fight with them with homework and getting them to be ready on time for school. But when they are in school the routine is oh so very nice.
Well I better get onto other things and I will post more later.

Lets see where to begin....

Well School is back in Session~ Which I love. I love that our house has a Schedule. It is quite after 8:30 and Mark and I can just relax.

We didn't do a whole lot this summer. we went on a few camping trips. 4th of July we spent at Pleasant Valley days ( http://www.pleasantvalleydays.com/) With our friends the Blackhams and the Davenports. It was lots of fun in the sun. They have a super fun, very small parade. Boutique in the park, talent show, and much more!

We also went to Flaming George with Marks Family for there Family reunion. It was 5 days of fun, fishing, and games. We bought a New to us Pontoon boat. It needs some work but it takes alot of people. We went cliff jumping. I stayed on the boat to keep it safe! We river rafted the Green River. I should find some pictures of this. Marks Brother Dennis had a 5 gallon bucket that when he threw it at you full of water it was almost enough to drown you. But It was still lots of fun.

We also Booked Our First Family Cruise to the Caribbean!! We can't wait we leave the say before Halloween and get to spend 6 days on a Huge Carnival cruise ship!! more to come on that!

I was doing pretty good there for a min...Then Life got busy and I forgot about my blog!
Today is Mothers Day~ I am sitting at home and planning on doing nothing at all today! Mark is gone with the Army for the next 20 Day (but who's counting..) It's kinda weird that he is not here. I did go visit his Mom and I took my Mom to Lunch/Dinner. I figured Since it was mothers Day neither one of us should have to cook or Clean up the mess. Now I am watching movies with the kids! Enjoying Mothers Day!~
I Will try to do better with this blog~ But I cant say for sure I will do it, I will be a single Mom all month.

The last great thing I purchased was some White Crocs.
I work at the Temple and we have to have white shoes, Well I bought some cheap white shoes that have worked all right. But after I where them for more than 1 night in a row they are not that great. Since I had a coupon to DSW shoes for $20 off, so I found these shoes! I haven't worn them yet so I will have to update and see how it goes.

The only song the matches my mood right now is a good night song! I am ready to go to bed.. But I did have a good weekend. We are trying to go to every Temple this year and Saturday we went to the Ogden temple. The Ogden Temple is going to close in April while they rebuild it. It was really cool to go inside and do some Sealings for people who have passed on! We went with our Friends Luke and Katrina Ashton. Can't wait to go on our next Temple Outing.

Here are some of my Best Friends! I would have never thought that my kids would have been some of my best friends! But they are~ they will go anywhere I want to go! Sometimes under protest and they Love me for Me! I have some other great BBF's Luke and Katrina~ they are great and we have such a great time when we are out with them! Sometimes I think Mark and Luke are a little more than Friends! Katrina and I have a great time shopping and going out to lunch while the boys work! Love it! Kamie and Cindy are the greatest as well! I love them and have had some great times with them! I wish I had more time to spend with them! My other Best friend are the girls I grew up with but for some reason I only have a picture of Malisa! Today was Fast Sunday, I made chocolate covered Strawberry's yesterday. So this morning when I wasn't eating~ These little sweets were calling my name. Well after we got home from Church I had to take Jordan to instacare ~ she woke up with a super bad sore throat and then started throwing up. I knew right away that she had STREP THROAT. Yep I was right she did. Right after they swabbed her throat she threw up again and then after we got her medication she did it again. But about 3 hours later, she was asking if she could eat and If she could go to school tomorrow. I am not sure where this kid came from, SHE LOVES school! Anyways~ by the time I got home from all that I enjoyed some Chocolate covered Strawberry's are they were so good!!

Today has been a pretty Mellow day. I worked at the Temple last night, so I got to stay in bed a little later this morning. After I got up Mark and Tanner went golfing and Jordan came home from her sleep over. After I cleaned up the house a bit, it was off to do some shopping! Jordan got new shoes for her play. Some of you may know that I have been wanting to quit my job for sometime. Well It's finally Happening!! Thursday is my last full day of Work! I would like to say I am going to stay home and be a house wife... But Nope. I get to watch Our cute little niece, Help Mark with his Business and Work at the Temple! Yes It is work at the Temple I get paid for it! So all in all I will still work and Make money but also get to be at home and Take care of my Wifey Duties!I can't wait to start this new Chapter!!

This is the new Puppy we got his name is T.J, ( Tanner Jordan)

I keep thinking I am going to be better at this, and one day make my blog into a book. So at the first of the year I was going to start out with a Bang, But that didn't happen. Then I ran into a old friend at Costco ( Jana~ thanks for getting after me) and I told her I feel like I see you all the time because I read your blog. Then she told me I haven't updated mine in a while so I told her I would. So here goes nothin!

We have been trying to get Health insurance on our own so that I could quit my job and stay home and help mark run his company. Well thanks to the Great President we have right now. If you have any health problems at all you can't get insurance. So we decided to take a different route,
Mark joined the Army Reserves. Now no one freak out this does not mean he is going to war. for one he is just Reserve~ which if the war broke out they could call him up but right now that is not the case. So now we have insurance and tomorrow I get to put in my 2 weeks and quit my job! I can't wait!
I will still do a little work~ I will watch marks niece full time and I clean at the Temple. But it will be nice not to have to be away from home 40 hrs. a week. I hope that this all works out Marks business picks up, so we don't stare to death!

oh something else that has happened at our house. We went to parent teacher conference last week and Tanners teachers was talking to us about tanner. When marks phone rang and he got up to answer it. Well while he was talking on the phone, Tanner's teacher asked me how long mark had been home from War? From War I asked her? she said yeah, Tanner said he got his new Army backpack because his dad had been at war since Christmas. Well I was trying not to laugh and tanner was hiding his head. I told her that Mark had never gone to war, that he just resigned with the Army. Tanner is such a story teller he had told his teacher that mark had been gone and that he just got back. When really mark was gone for about 10 hours and never left Utah! Oh what fun we are going to have with this boy!

it was such a fun and wonderful day! We are so greatful for all the people who helped us get to this point. It only took us 11 years to get our act together. But now we are a forever family!
I know we are blessed for the doing this with our family. I wish we would have done it sooner.

Summer..Is it over yet??

Wow~ I can't believe summer is already here! it's kinda crazy to think that in just at few months both my kids will be in school full time!! Until then I guess we will enjoy the summer! We bought a Pass this year to the American Fork Rec. Center so we will be going there alot!! It's so nice to just go for an hour or so. When you have to pay for the whole day you want to get your moneys worth. I think our pass will pay for it's self for sure!

So far this summer we went to Yuba State Park~Got really sunburned but had a great time!!

I got a great deal on Season passes to the Salt Lake bees~ there are at least 40 more games and I paid $40 a person for them that's only $1 a game. I don't think we will make it to all the game but still its a good deal. Oh and we can take 4 people with us also~!

We went to Tracy Lawerence Concert at Eagle Mountain days, the kids thought it was really cool when we went right up to the stage. Well I am sure we will have more fun to come!! I will try to keep you updated!! But If I don't we must be having to much FUN!!!

That's a lot of stuff we have done in the last few weeks! plus there are 2 camping trips that I didn't even blog about! I will get the 3rd one when we go to Yuba!
Today we went to the U.P.O.A k-9 TRIALS! it was lots of fun but very cold! Those dogs are so smart!! I hope we get to go again soon!

Jordan's Final Meet!

Jordan has decided that she wants to just be a kid~ well one that just goes to piano lessons! Jordan has been going to gym 10 hours a week and on the days she doesn't go to gym she has piano and activity days so there is no time to just be a kid! this was her final meet and in total she only went to 2 meets! She does love gym and she is really good at it but she has decided to take a break. Its fine with me~ no more driving her back and fourth and I will save $150 a month! just a side note she sis fracture her arm at classic skating so this really ended her gymnastics for the summer! Lucky for her it wasn't a very bad fracture and she didn't need a cast or surgery just a soft cast!

Mark is 34 this year~ He is so old!
but I love him anyways~ He is a great Father and a wonderful Husband! He is such a hard worked and we love him for that! I always said I wanted to marry someone like my dad. I know that My mom might think that I am crazy! Just kidding she loves my dad! I just always wanted to marry a guy who could fix things and build things~oh and like my dad treat me like a Queen! Mark is just that person! He is always fixing up stuff around our house to make it just the way I want! I love him for that! Love ya babe!

Tanner Played soccer for the first time this spring! He was pretty cute to watch! He said it was fun but he really wants to play Baseball! so I guess next year we will do Baseball!

Wow 6 years has flown by so fast! The world will never be the same! Tanner is all boy~ this you will know if you have ever met the little terror! But, I don't know what we would do without him! He keeps us going all the time! He is a great little reader and has just started to play soccer. He loves Dirt bikes, Motorcycles, and fast cars! Yep still all boy! He learned how to ski this year and can out ski is mom!

THESE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS MARK HAS BEEN HARD AT WORK! HE DOES SUCH GREAT WORK. OUT BATHROOM BEFORE HAD WHITE TILE WITH WHITE GROUT~ WHICH HAD WAS NOW BLACK! IT ALSO HAD A WHITE TILE COUNTER TOP THAT WAS SO UGLY! I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN MORE PICTURES SO YOU COULD HAVE SEEN.

NOW WE HAVE A VERY NICE BATHROOM WITH TAN TILE AND DARK BROWN GROUT! ALSO WE GOT A NEW VANITY AND MIRROR. OH! AND A NEW TOILET! I STILL NEED TO PUT UP THE TOWEL RACK AND GET MY BROTHER TO PAINT THE TILE IN THE TUB SURROUND. AFTER THAT IT WILL BE A BRAND NEW BATHROOM!

We had just started the remolding of the bathroom and removing the tile from the landing at the front door.. When I went out to get the garbage can and saw that there was a HOT AIR BALLOON at the park up the street. As I watched it I noticed that it was not going very high and that it was tied off. While I knew the Neighbor's(The Bolkes's) had a hot air balloon, then I noticed that there trailer that they keep there balloon in was not home or was there car. So I sent Jordan to the park to investigate!
Sure enough it was the neighbors balloon. So off to the park we went to check it out! well once we got there Dan had decided that he would give people rides. YAHOO! Tanner was too scared but the rest of us went up in the balloon. we didn't go very high but it was still cool! Thanks Bolke's

Not sure how Many people know but I was blessed to be in a family of only Boys!! Yes that's right I only have brothers! Sometimes they Drive me Crazy and Sometimes I don't want to claim them. But I don't know what I would do with out them.
A Little about my Brothers!
My oldest Brother~ Craig is 10 years older than me and is a wonderful man! He is a great dad and would do anything for anyone.

Eric~ is next in line and is 8 years older than me. He is also a Great dad to his daughter! He is a computer Geek~ which comes in handy sometimes! He is my tallest brother~ and the one with the most Hair!
Brian~ Is 6 years older than me and the Brother I see the most. He goes camping with us and is always there to help out with my kids. He is a hard worker, and A great big Furry Teddy Bear!

Matt~ is 4 years older than I. He is a really hard worker and a great dad. He is my brother that always kisses my mom good bye and always lets you know he loves ya. Which is kinda crazy because he was such a wild teenager~ for those of you who know him.

And then there is Justin~ 2 years younger than I~ My Mom said I couldn't be the youngest and the only girl. Don't worry I am still spoiled. Justin and I could always be found together when we were younger. it was always the Brothers and Justin! He is a Great Dad and turning out to be a great Farmer!

My oldest Brother Craig was just diagnosed with Cancer. It was really scary to think that something might happen to him. Lucky for all of us they caught it before it had spread. He will have a nice scar that will remind him that it was there, But I am glad that he is still here! It really makes you think how short life can be. It also made me think how great full I am for my brothers! I know there is a reason I grew up with just brothers~ I can't handle the Drama! I love my brothers so much and I just wanted everyone to know!

I keep telling myself that skiing is fun to do! But so far I haven't found the fun part~ I just think its a lot of work! Mark and Tanner and Jordan all love to ski and Do it so well! I really think I should have learned when I was younger and had no fear at all!! Tanner & Jordan love to go fast and never want the day to end!

I think the part I dislike the most is the going fast! I know right! The fun of skiing is going fast~ I just don't trust that I will stop!

What a Beautiful Picture of the Salt Lake Temple! This year our Family is going to be sealed in the Temple aand We can't wait to be a forever family! I really want to go to the SLC Temple on the same day we were married~ the only problem is that its closed for cleaning so now I have to decided to Go Before Our anniversay or to wait and go at the end of july after our anniversay??? Or should we just go to a different Temple all together?? Oh the Decisions~ good thing I have a few months to think about it!!

So at least once a week I get on the computer and read my friends blogs.. I love to see all the fun things my friends are doing in there lives~ the good times, the sad, and all the pictures that go along with it~ I always hope that everyone has updated there blog so I can read it... Some times I am dissapointed! ( Jana E.)!! But do I ever look at my own blog that is never up to date??! Thats Right I want everyone else to update and I am not doing it myself! I always have the best reasons.. We haven't done anything worth writing about~ or My I haven't down loaded any pictures of What we have done~ Well the other day I was having lunch with some great friends~ And we were talking about how you can make a blog book of all of your blog and how fun it will be for our kids to look back on all the fun things we did as a family! It's almost like a big Journal! I know that I should really be keeping a Journal for my kids..but since I am not this should count for something!! So Here's to a new year!! Betty Benton Mann 1926 ~ 2009 After 83 wonderful years on earth, Betty Benton Mann returned home to her Father-in-Heaven, the Savior, Jesus Christ, many loving family members and friends, and her beloved husband, Ray, on December 4, 2009, nearly two years to the day after Ray's passing.Born July 3, 1926 in Boise, Idaho to Mamie Thompson and Otto G. Benton, Betty was the fifth of nine children. She was raised in Boise, Twin Falls, Idaho and Redondo Beach, California. From the day she first walked herself to services as a young child, Betty was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). As a teenager, she was president of her ward Golden Gleaner organization and helped plan and run the first ever LDS Youth Conference in southern California. After graduating from Redondo Union High School, she moved to North Salt Lake to help her oldest sister, Wanda, care for her children, and it was there that she met her future husband, Ray Elwood Mann. Betty and Ray were married in the Salt Lake Temple of the LDS church on May 4, 1948. They settled in Bountiful, Utah where they raised three daughters and two sons, while she also worked as a dental assistant for many years. Betty was active in the PTA in Bountiful where she ran the Halloween Carnival for three years and served as PTA president for two years. After their youngest children graduated from high school in 1975, Betty and Ray spent an adventurous year in 1976 in West Germany for Ray's employer, Chicago Bridge & Iron. The next year, Ray was transferred to world headquarters in Chicago where they lived until 1984. During their time in Naperville, ILL, Betty filled an eight-year volunteer assignment with LDS Social Services working with out-of-wedlock mothers, including serving as a counselor to birth mothers and transporting newborns to adoptive parents. She also served for a time as a member of the Relief Society presidency in the Glenbard Ward in Illinois. Betty and Ray moved to Sandy, Utah in 1984 where they made their home for the rest of their lives. In Sandy, Betty served for 18 years in the LDS church's Data Entry Program in the Canyon View Stake. She and Ray also served a one-year LDS Service Mission in 1994 near Bakersfield, California for the Home Management Department. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, her husband, and one son, Clyde. She is survived by four children, Linda, Pam (Harold) Egginton, Todd, and Allisha (David) Politis; 18 grandchildren (evenly divided between boys and girls); and 14 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Mountain View Mortuary at 3115 East 7800 South in Cottonwood Heights, Utah from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tues., Dec. 8, 2009. The funeral will be held at the same location at 11 a.m. on Wed., Dec. 9, preceded by an additional viewing from 9:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Interment, on site, will follow immediately after the funeral. The family extends its heartfelt thanks and admiration for all of the fantastic doctors and medical providers who worked with Betty in addressing her health concerns during the past few years. In addition, Betty (and Ray) loved living at South Towne Ranch in Sandy, Utah where they made many wonderful friends. Today while we watched the BYU vs. UTAH game the kids thought it would be fun to start a little war with the nerf guns! After about 15 min of shooting back and forth Mark sais ok thats enough. Jordan answered back with "it's not over til the Old man Cry's" oh the things kids say! Its so funny! Well back to the game half time is over! Go Cougars!!

So Since I am never going to turn the Big 30~ Novermber 23 was my last Birthday I am going to Celebrate!! I see no reason to turn 30 so I will just stay in my 20's for a while! At work people asked me how old I was and I asked them to guess! I got a range of answers from 22-25! So I would just stay Yep. Some people started to catch on to the fact that I do have a almost 10 year old, I have been married 10years, So then they said I would have to be a little older. But I am still not going to turn 30! It has been a great 29 years thou.. I have great parents,wonderful brothers, a great husband, and two lovely kids who I would not trade for anything. I also have great friends who are so sweet! This year for my birthday we went to the Mayan Resturant, the kids had lots of fun watching the cliff divers and the food was ok too. Marks sister Ruth and her husband went with us also it was great. My friends at work also threw me a party and we had lunch. They spoiled me with lots of gift cards since they know how much I love to shop and how I love clothes! I can't wait to go spend them and get some fun new stuff! I have been spending too much time on my black friday ads that I haven't spent them yet! Thanks to everyone who made my birthday great!!

Wow where does the time go?? I really need to be better at up dating my blog! Lets see what have we been up to?? Well we had halloween~~ Mark and I dressed up like Fred and Wilma, Jordan was a AF cheer leader and Tanner was a dirt bike rider.. I will post pictures but I am on the wrong computer. The kids had a good time Trick or Treating, Tanner was a little scard and cryed a few times..he is such a wimp! I am probally to blame When he was little he got scared really easy and It was so funny! Guess I am not going to win mother of the Year! I seems like the month of october and November came and went so quick I can't believe December is just around the Corner! I love this time of year~ it's one of my favorites. I get to shop alot and I love to do that. Also I love to take the kids and go to Temple Square and see the lights! It's just a great time of year!

The Deer Hunt! ( pics to come!)

This is the deer I was wanted to see this year!! I was all ready to shoot A Big Buck! Most years we leave our kids home on the opening weekend of the deer hunt. This year there was no one to leave our kids with, Marks parents had plans to go hunting and Kims mom had a total Hip replacement and was not up to watching kids all weekend! So we asked Kims sweet niece Mariah to go camping with us and watch the kids while we went hunting! This year we drew northern tags~ we really wanted Central tags so we didn't have to go far, but that was not our luck!

We put in with our friends to hunt together so we all loaded up the campers and went hunting! It was Rob, Leslie, Chanse, Rock, Coleman, Kayden. Oh and us Mark, Kim, Jordan, Tanner and Mariah! We got up on the mountain Friday afternoon and set up camp! Then we went looking for a good spot to hunt in the morning! Well we found what looked to be a great spot, So at 5:00 am we got up and set out to find a Buck. Well after much hunting all we found was more hunters and no deer. Later that day Mark, Leslie, Rob, Coleman went on a hike to see if they could see a deer and the one they did see... Mark Couldn't shoot because the sun was in his scope and he didn't want to shoot. About the time he decided to shoot anyways he heard a another hunter shoot and the deer was gone. This is how the restof the weekend went. we saw a doe or two but no bucks! It was very disappointing to not see anything. Maybe next year we will see something~ I don't feel too bad Noeof our friends got a Deer this year~ They must be hiding out!

Sunday in Cali! WE went to Six Flags! as soon as the gates open we were on a run to the X2 I guess if you wait the line gets super long so we wanted to go there first! I tired to talk Jordan into not going but she said no way! All I can tell you about the ride is that it was dark! Oh but maybe that is because I had my eyes closed the whole time! Jordan asked me if I saw the fire.. I said I felt it get hot! Again my eyes were closed!! We didn't want to ruin our camera so there are not many pictures of this day! But we did get really wet on the log ride and lucky for us we were not on the ride that Joshua( Ruths Husband) threw up on! all in all it was a super fun day!

I guess I better start blogging our trip to Disneyland!

We dedided to go to Disneyland about 2 years ago.... Marks family goes on a family reunion every year, we usually go camping. But 2 years ago Marks mom decided it would be fun if we could all save our money and go to Disneyland!! So We all went, Dennis, James, Michell, Ruth, Joshua, Austin, Houstin, Judy, Weston, Huxley, Kianna, Baylon, Amanda, Haley, Steve, Mike, Jane, Lyman and US!

The cheapest we could find for airline tickets was about $500 plus then we would need to rent a car about $400. So we decided it would be cheaper to drive! Marks brother Dennis lives in Hurrican so on friday we headed to his house. We got a late start leaving out house so we didn't get top his house until about 10:30pm. We chatted with them and decided we would get up early and Head to Vegas! (These pictures are backwards) The kids wanted to go to M& M world. Well we left a little too early so we had to wait for it to open! When marks was little and they went to CAli. They stopped at Calico Ghost town! so we thought it would be fun too! Tanner wasn't too sure if he liked the whole ghost town idea.. Until we explained what a ghost town is! Here we are in Jail..Tanner looks so sad!

Tanner was feeling a little dirty, So we paid the 5 cents for him to take a bath!

Mark had this nice $300 lawn mower...

that needed a little work the belt kept coming off~

So he took it up to the neighbors house who works on lawn mowers~

We got chickens this spring!

we started with 6!

then we went camping and one passed away...

so my little brother gave us 2 more!

Then 2 of them turned out to be Roosters!

We has a great time at fish lake with great friends!

Our trip was a little eventful~ On our way there our truck got too hot and we had a little fire in the engine! Good thing Mark is a fix all guy and was quick and put the fire out so no other damage was caused! I am so glad because I had had surgery the week before and could not help him at all. After we made it to camp and got everything step up Mark and my Brother Brian took the Truck to Loa and go the oil changed~and we has no other problems with it!

So after the parade we went to Grandpa Davids~ after

being there for about 20 min.. T~$ was crying.. He was trying to catch

the water ballon that Grandpa Launched~ the only problem is he used his

eye! Now he has a nice black eye!

We went swimming to the New Lindon Pool~ it was so much

fun! it was so nice to have great older sisters to be helpers!
Friday before we went to Grandpa's Grandma Linda came over
and we made lots of cute Flower bows with the girls.. I think Ally made
2 and had enough! Chelsea made 1 and went to play with the toys! Mariah , Jordan, and Cassie made way to many to count!! They had a great time with Grandma!!

Then we had movie Night! what a Great time we had with the Girls!

But I was also glad when it was time to send them home!!

My Jeep!

Well some of you may have heard about the Drama with

our Jeep but if you didn't here you go!

We went to the Strawberry days Childrens Parade on Wed. and then came home to

go to the rodeo.. So we got out of my car and went into get ready to go to the rodeo!

Well I left my purse & Keys in my Jeep..

Well we decided to take the truck so I grab my makeup out o f my car and off we went. After the Rodeo I took my makeup out of the truck and put it in my Jeep. i thought to myself you should lock this becuase I had a $100 Bill and a $200 check to take to the bank.. But I didn't I just left my makeup and went inthe house It was about 10:45pm~

So About 5:20 I woke up to go to work and Went out to get in my Jeep (6:40am) And it was GONE!!! So I ran back into the house and woke up Mark and He called the Police!

So just a recap... My purse, Keys and $300 ~

Well I then went to work and waited...

Well Saturday morning Mark got a call about the Jeep...It was found!!

My purse, Makeup and $300 all inside... it was in a Apartment about 10 blocks away.. My keys were on the lawn in front of it no damage at all. All they took was my Wallet~ Stupid Jerks..The cops think it was some teenagers and since they are dumb they missed the money that was between my seats!

Lets just say now I will always lock my car at my house and Take my Purse inside!

Tanner has beenplaying T~ball this summer and Mark is the assistant coach! This week at our game Bronco Mendenhall~ (the HEAD coach of the BYU Cougars!!!) was there because his son was on the other team! It was fun to see him and he was super nice. The last couple of time we have gone camping we have found some Geo cache's~ they are all over the place and you can go online and look up the cordinates then you put the in you GPS and go out hunting! its lots of fun and the Kids love to see what is inside. One of the rules is that if you take something from the Cache you put something back!! We left some fun toys and took some very crazy stuff!!

We went Camping in Fruitland for Easter (pictures to come) and got Rained on just a little. It was still a great time and if we would have been home we still would have got rained on! Easter Sunday was a little crazy~ the kids were up bright and Early at 7am and there were Eggs everywhere! But we had to feed them Breakfast and wait for some of our friends who where at another Cabin!! After the egg hunt it was time to clean up and head home. Jordan and Tanner got to sing in church! they did great! then off to Family dinner and EGG Hunt!

Here are some pictures from the Gaines family Easter Egg hunt and family dinner! My Mom went a little crazy with eggs this year and wanted all the kids to have a full bucket of eggs... There are 12 grand kids! Lets just say that is alot of eggs!!
Good thing Grandpa David has a Huge back yard. The kids all got an extra special egg from grandpa that had a Gold Dollar in them. Tanner thought it was just a Gold penny and traded his to uncle Brian for a Real Dollar.... He said he wanted a flat dollar!! Silly Kid!

Wow~ what a crazy weeekend! But we had a great time! Now time to hide all the candy!

Jordan and Tanner wanted to fly kites... As you can see Tanner did it! Jordan got mad~She wanted hers to fly but her little brother showed her up! He let her try with his kite and then as soon as she got it in the air she was Bored!

I know I keep saying that I am going to be better at this so here goes... I have been very inspired at looking at everyones blogs! So with Tanners 5th bithday coming up I am going to start with that. We really haven't been up to a whole lot in the last little while so this will give me something to post! Tanner wanted to have a Moster Truck birthday~ So at work I made a monster truck pinata! I also got Kelly Jasper( http://luckyjanedesigns.blogspot.com/ ) to make a cute invite with a monster truck 0n it that I had printed at Walmart! His party was planned fot the Park~But due to Snow in spring ( I know we live in Utah)! We are moving it in doors.. Pictures to come!
